Stephen learned about Lean and Operational Excellence during a 40+ year career in the Medical Device, Motor and Electrical Industries.
Prior to consulting he held senior positions in the Operational Excellence Department in Boston Scientific for 14 years delivering training and site wide Projects in Lean and Industrial Engineering. He also set up an internal Batchelor of Operational Excellence program with the University of Buckingham in England which delivers a Certificate, then Diploma, then Degree, then MBA in Operational Excellence. He has worked with both the Shingo Institute and SISU on an Operational Excellence Site program.
Previously he held a role as Lean Manufacturing Manager for both Iralco (2 years) supplying decorative trim to the Motor Industry and Schneider Electric (25 years).
Stephen holds an MBA with Coventry University UK and Lean Implementation Certification with the University of Kentucky, USA. He also holds several Internal qualifications such as, TWI train the trainer under Don Dinero, six sigma Black Belt, Timer Pro and MTM1 Practitioner, Essentials of Lean and Business Process Improvement, A3 Problem Solving and DMAIC.
